Senate struck deal on coronavirus stimulus. Senate Democrats have reached a deal with the Trump White House and Senate Republicans on a massive $2 trillion coronavirus stimulus package that is targeting relief toward America’s workers, hospitals, industries, and state and local governments.
Now that a deal has been reached, Senator McConnell will likely move quickly to get the bill to the floor and passed Wednesday before the bill lands on President Donald Trump’s desk ready to be signed.

About the stimulus package. Gov. Phil Murphy said Wednesday morning the bill will “unquestionably” help New Jersey “on the economic side.” “It will help our hospitals financially,” Murphy said. “It will help the folks who have lost their jobs. It will help small businesses. It’s desperately needed. There’s nothing like the federal government coming in to play an outsize role.”
