Starbucks is Preparing to Reopen Stores in the U.S.
As it switches to a ‘monitor and adapt’ phase of coronavirus recovery. Some Starbucks stores will reopen for contactless pickup or allow for to-go ordering while others will remain drive-thru only in this transitional phase. In a letter to employees, CEO Kevin Johnson said that Starbucks is preparing for the “monitor and adapt” phase of recovering from the coronavirus pandemic, and is preparing to reopen stores in the U.S., which have all been closed with the exception of delivery and drive-thru options since March 21. This decision comes about as many areas of the country begin to see a decline in new cases of COVID-19 as evidence that flattening the curve is working. Starbucks is just one of several major foodservice operators beginning to consider how their company will operate in a post-lockdown world.

NJ Division of Alcoholic Beverages Extend License Renewal. The ABC has extended to the annual renewal date of June 30th until September 30th. All holders of State-issued licenses and permits must file a renewal application, pay the requisite fee(s), and satisfy all applicable renewal requirements on or before September 30, 2020 in order to operate on October 1, 2020 for the 2020-2021 license term. If these licensees and permittees do not complete this application process on or before September 30, 2020, their privileges will lapse.
