Uncle Louie’s Takes Over Momma’s Kitchen
Momma’s Kitchen, 19 West Grand Avenue, Montvale, New Jersey, has been sold according to David A. Alvarez of Bielat Santore & Company, Allenhurst, New Jersey, the salesperson involved in the sale. The building was sold previously in 2019, leaving the business available for purchase. The new proprietors plan to transform the Italian eatery into a second location for their successful pizzeria and restaurant, Uncle Louie’s.
While former owner Bobby Meidanis is sad to see the doors close to a business he has devoted the last five years of his life operating, he feels it is the right time for a new owner to take the business he established to the next level. “It is bittersweet,” said Meidanis. “I will miss the employees and customers, but I am happy to see the restaurant become a new Italian concept.”
The eatery will be in good hands under the direction of esteemed restaurateur, David Brancato, who has over 30 years of experience in the industry. His partners Aldo Nocera and Francisco Armando Ortega also have over 20 years of culinary expertise. “I am excited to start serving the community of Montvale and Pascack Valley,” said Brancato. “Uncle Louie’s is a great compliment to the community offering a fresh approach to cooking and delicious pizza at affordable prices.”
Uncle Louie’s is currently serving patrons at 754 Franklin Avenue, Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. There is no word yet on a grand opening date for this new location, but Uncle Louie’s will be offering a similar menu including pizza, pasta, seafood chicken and veal dishes.
